I'm afraid that you may need to educate me in regards to Diwali and the meaning of this observance. I can say that I love the images you have shared today -- love the beauty, peace, and gentle light they convey.

@ yosee, sue, vinayak & captain: thank you for your comments and your wishes...i know the reply is way too delayed...but had been out of the virtual workd since the last few weeks...
@ Sue: The custom of lighting lights on Diwali is a symbol of the victory of good over bad and pure over evil...it also has a story of celebrating the return of Lord Rama to His kingdom...
You should come to India sometime at the time of Diwali...you will love the atmosphere that comes about on the Diwali night when all the houses are illuminated with lamps and candles and lights...
